Day 1
Arrival at São Vicente airport and inhalation of our first puffs of Capeverdean air. And here we are, acclimatised on no time. Transfer to Mindelo, the cultural capital of Cape Verde, the ancient Rome of the atlantic where life sparkles in the rythm of the concerts. Night in the historical centre in Residencial Arla or similar. (-/-/-)

Day 2 Island tour by scooter
Today we will discover the island of São Vicente by scooter: even if its topography is less spectacular than ist neighbouring islands, São Vicente will seduce us and offers a nice variety of landscapes: mountains, beaches, volcanoes, valleys, white sandy beaches, red rocks etc. Night in a small pension in the historcal heart of Mindelo in Residencial Arla or similar (B/-/-).

Day 3 Santo Antão - Discovery by mountain bike
After the ferry crossing we will start our discovery of Santo Antão by taking the old trading route that crosses the island and where one panoramic view beats the other. It is time to bring it up a notch in adventure and emotion: With our host, we're going mountain biking between the tops and valleys of the island. He will adapt the ride to our level. The cool breeze touches our face and the sun warms our blood - is it the sun or the adrenaline we feel rising? Night in Espongeiros in a family pension or similar. (B/LB/D)

Day 4 hike 6 hours // level 2-3 // +500/-500m
Let us not miss a second of this wonderful day - we give an early start to one of the most spectacular hikes of Cape Verde: the one along the coast. We are accompanied to the right by the base of steep, if not vertical cliffs, while we are bordered to the left by the endlessness of the Atlantic Ocean. Small paths used by shepherds lead us through exceptional landscapes, each curve revealing new surprises. Night in Ponta do Sol at Kasa Tambla or similar (B/LB/D)

Day 5 Canyoning with approaching hike 1h // level 2-3 // +200/-200m
Today we will have more emotions than ever and incredible sensations: it is canyoning day with stunning rappels in the waterfalls. The landscape, water everywhere, tropical plants, the perfume of sugar cane, rocks: the decoration is perfect and it is exactly here that we will challenge our heart, it is exactly here that we will create memories for the next 10 years. Installation after that for two nightsin the charming accomodation of Aldeia Manga in the middle o the valley

Day 6 Hike 3 hours // level 2-3 // +400/-400 m
Today, we have a much closer encounter with the greenest and most tropical valley amongst the whole archipelago, the beautiful valley of Paúl. A good catchupa (the national dish) served in a little restaurant in the middle of sugar cane fields will surely delight us. Later in the afternoon, why not visit one of the numerous Grogue distillery of the valley?

Day 7
Finally relaxing. We return to Mindelo - during the crossing, let's keep our eyes open and if we are lucky we may see dolphins or maybe flying fishes. Find your charming guest house , and enjoy your day. You can go out and maybe buy your last minute souvenirs, take a dip at Laginha, do an island tour, have a drink , or even have dinner while enjoying some tradicional music. Day 8
This is the moment we did not want to think of for the last days - and now it is there - riiight there. It is time to pack your bags. It is painful but we try and ease the pain by slipping a bottle of grogue and/or a bottle of tamarind or peanut pontche into our bag - something to 'mata sodad' (kill the nostalgia for Cape Verde) while waiting to come back.
